Politically Smart is led by Laurie Arora. Ms. Arora has been an active participant in electoral politics for over 20 years. Ms. Arora has a BS degree from Michigan State University, and an MBA in Finance from the University of Detroit. She began her professional career in human resources at a large financial institution. She then moved on to commercial lending before joining the finance department at General Motors. From there Ms. Arora began a career with the legislative branch of the federal government working for the U.S. Government

Accountability Office. While there she evaluated the effectiveness of federal programs for the U.S. Congress. As program director at a non-profit organization, Ms. Arora worked in the areas of development, event and program planning, media relations, and technology management. Most recently she has worked on various aspects of political campaigns - strategy and management, fundraising, precinct delegate and volunteer organization, special events, and communications.
